Lecturers upload course contents under the courses assigned to them on the learning management system.

A lecturer can also delegate this task to either an assistant instructor or a course representative to upload course content and it is subject to the approval by the lead instructor.

The institution allocates courses to lecturers through the office of the ICT Director.

A lead instructor is the lecturer that has been appointed as the lead for the course. Below are the unique responsibilities of a lead instructor.

• Course information update
• Assignment of supporting instructors to courses
• Vetting/approval of supporting lecturers lecture content

A support instructor is a lecturer that has been invited by a lead instructor to act a supporting role for the course.

Lecturers cannot remove themselves from a course assigned to them on the DSLMS by the school administration through the office of the ICT Director. However, a lead instructor (lecturer) can add/remove an assistant instructor(s) from a course on the DSLMS.

Yes there is provision made for this.
A lecturer can be assigned to more than one course.

The DSLMS currently do not make provision for the management of carry over courses. However, this is readily available at the request of your institution.

Yes.

Students from one department (e.g. Accountancy) can have access/take a course from other departments (e.g. Management) either as “Auditee” students or “Enrollee” students.

An Enrollee is a student who register for a course that is part of their course work for the academic semester or session. An Enrolled student has access to assignments and assessment and can respond to them.

An Audit is a students from another department who wants to learn or take a course that is not necessarily part of their course work for the semester or session. However, the student can’t have access to assignments and assessments.

Yes.

A lecturer can create a Learning Group, add students to that learning group and create tasks for the students of that learning group.

Yes.

Although, this feature is usable at the discretion of the institution and lecturer. students of that learning group.

A lecturer cannot upload contents on the Library.
However, a lecturer can reach out to their institution's ICT Director/Admin with a request to upload content into the library.
